Privacy policy
Updated September 29, 2026
This policy applies to the Important Dates app for iPhone and iPad.
Event data
Event names, dates, comments, folders, and appearance settings are stored locally on your device. The app group shares this data with the widgets.
The app does not send the contents of your events to the developer or analytics service.
Contacts
The app requests Contacts access only when you start birthday import. It reads a contact name, identifier, and standard birthday to show a list for you to choose from.
Selected contacts become local events. The app does not send your address book to the developer.
Analytics
The app uses PostHog for technical and product analytics. It sends interface actions, event and folder counts, display settings, and technical app or device properties.
Analytics does not include event names, dates, comments, or contact data.
Notifications and purchases
iOS schedules reminders after you grant permission. Apple processes optional tips through in-app purchases.
Your choices
You can change Contacts and notification access in iOS Settings. You can export event data and remove it by deleting the app.
